Story

A LIFE WELL LIVED

Kyle Chupp, 39, of Orillia Ontario, went to be with Jesus on April 19th, 2024 after battling an aggressive stage IV liposarcoma cancer. He received the terminal diagnosis in December 2023 just before Christmas.

Kyle was the beloved husband to his wife, Vanessa. It was love at first sight when they met in 2007 at Prairie Bible College in Alberta. He was intentional about cherishing and adoring his wife, keeping their love alive & vibrant all these years. Despite their story being cut short after what would have been 15 years of marriage this August, they truly have a love for the ages. Forever wouldn't have been enough time together.

Kyle was also a devoted father to their three children; Amelia (13), Jamie (5), and Kailyn (2). He treasured his role in his kids' lives, investing his time and energy into building strong relationships and creating cherished memories with them. Whether it was taking them out fishing, on a hike, or just playing around the house, he knew how to make any situation fun. He instilled important values & life advice into all three of them, and they all carry on his remarkable natural qualities, each in their own unique ways.

Kyle loved working for the Faris Team, where he was employed for the last 6 years. He always pushed himself to set new goals and somehow always managed to crush each one. He truly went all out in every aspect of his life, his marriage, his role as a father, and work was no different. He was the person with the best smile, whom you couldn’t help but love as soon as you met him. He made everyone feel valued, and his joy was simply contagious.

Most of all, his relationship with Jesus was number one in his life, and even through the rough & painful final months of his life, he continued to praise God and exude an unwavering  joy that transcended all circumstances. He loved being a part of his local church community at Connexus.

While Kyle spent the later half of his life in Canada, he was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia by his parents, Tony & Kay Chupp. No matter where he roamed, he remained a southern boy through and through all his life. He and his sisters, Erin (Bryan) Sintos, and Carly (Andrew) Bush were inseparable growing up, his family all enjoying spending time together. Thanks to his parents' values, they grew up in a home  filled with faith, love and full passports from all their family adventures. His 3 nieces & 1 nephew, although his time with them on earth was much too short, were all cherished by him. They will all grow up with stories of their ‘fun Uncle Kyle’ that will hopefully encourage their own adventures.

His Canadian family, father and mother-in-law, Paul and Kelly Bell, and sisters-in-law, Alexandra Bell and Jordyn Bell, quickly made him their own, and feel the deep loss of their ‘bonus’ son and big brother deeply. Kyle was the glue in both his families.

He is survived by his Pawpaw, Robert Harbin, who passed on his love of ice cream, and root beer floats to Kyle, as well as his Uncle Mike, and nine cousins.

Kyle will be welcomed into heaven by his and Vanessa’s first son, Oakley, who would now be seven years old. They will already be having great adventures together, and spending lots of time fishing for sure, with Kyle's childhood golden retriever, Charlie, by their side.

In addition, his Grandmom, Tena Chupp, his Memaw, Carolyn Harbin, his Granddad, Edward Chupp, his Aunt, Pat Harbin, Uncle, Tim Harbin, and cousin, Elizabeth Miles, will all be welcoming him into heaven with open arms.

Kyle’s sudden terminal illness, and the short time left with his family, came as a great shock to them, and leaves a deep wound that’s gravely felt. The family is beyond grateful for their wide friend, family and church community’s support during this difficult time, as well as for all the care and peace the staff and facility provided for them during Kyle’s final days at Mariposa House Hospice. In lieu of flowers, contributions to his memorial fund to help support his surviving wife and children are appreciated, as well as sharing with them your memories and photos of Kyle on his memorial website.
